Bio...
After months of scouring the fashion market in 2005 for a harness shaped necklace to wear with her summer bikini, Michelle Pizzurro could only find belly chains. She then decided to buy some sterling silver and figure out how to make her desire a reality and the BLANCHE body chain was born. Michelle continued to conceive other ideas from silver in the spirit of her favorite jewelry designers such as Robert Lee Morris and Jill Platner.
A part of the New York fashion industry, Michelle and her hobby caught the eye of stylists and models at her work: Daryl K and Norma Kamali, for whom she managed Public Relations. She sold a few pieces to her colleagues, such as stylist Mimi Fisher. Whenever Mimi would visit Michelle for a showroom appointment - Mimi would rave and reiterate-- "I never take it off", and the name of the line was born...NTO.
NTO Designs are all hand hammered from sterling silver and are named after characters of the 80's sitcom the Golden Girls. The piece's moniker is determined by which characters' style the design corresponds.
Michelle currently lives in Columbus,Ohio where her designs are donated to fundraising events at The James Cancer Hospital. Her hobbies include writing, photo shoot production, styling, swimming and speaking Italian.
